There’s a new installment of “Dear Fefu,” a recurring inside-theater advice column from Lauren Halvorsen’s Nothing for the Group and the crowd at 3Views on Theater, which if you haven’t discovered it is a really intriguing and decidedly of-the-moment approach to building a healthy conversation around theater.
The good folks at American Theatre have recently taken note of the latest work product from the other good folks at Theatre Washington: a fiscal-impact report that crunches publicly available data to argue “that theatre in Washington is both artistically essential and economically significant.” One key takeaway: “For every dollar of public funding, on average, the study found that $2.78 of spending is generated.”
